Intertek to Offer Educational Sessions on Global Supply, Quality and Compliance as Part of New York City’s World Trade Week
Intertek (www.intertek.com) will host seminars in association with the World Trade Week - New York City event occurring May 19-23, 2008. The free talks, to be held at the Manhattan (SIBL) branch of the New York Public Library and Flushing Community Library, are set to address specific concerns of manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, importers and exporters facing the challenges presented by the global marketplace; and will include challenges presented by REACH; compliance with global legislation (including RoHS, WEEE, China RoHS, Korea RoHS, CE Marking and California Proposition 65, among others); logistics solutions; food quality, safety and supply; and general challenges presented by global supply chain management.
Intertek Signs Agreement with BRE Global
Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, has announced an agreement with BRE Global, a leading European certification/approvals body, to provide Life Safety/Security product manufacturers with testing and certification for the North America, Europe, Middle East, African and Asian markets. One call to either party can lead to Intertek’s ETL certification for access to North America or BRE Global’s LPCB certification for Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Intertek Named a Certification Body for Mexico's NOM Mark for Product Safety
Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, today announces that it has been accredited and approved as a Certification Body (Accreditation and Approval code: 61/08) by the General Direction of Standards (DGN) of the Secretaría de Economía in Mexico. As an accredited certification body, Intertek may test for product safety and issue the NOM Mark for Mexican market entry. Intertek is now the first and only global testing organization with local operations in Mexico offering independent testing to NOM Standards as well as final NOM Certification – which is mandatory for more than 2,000 product categories being sold in Mexico.
Intertek Expands Environmental Compliance Services in the USA
Intertek acquired the assets of Contract Manufacturing Services (CMS) based in New Jersey, USA and their two key managers and consultants. CMS is a leader in implementing environmental compliance for product manufacturers, including RoHS compliance, Environmental Compliance Process assurance, Green House Gas (GHG) emission and Carbon Credit programs. Intertek Offers Motor Vehicle Brake Hose Testing in Grand Rapids Lab

Intertek Launches Certified Fire Door Inspector Program

Intertek Receives CSFM accreditation for UL 864 9th Edition

The testing apparatus and personnel at Intertek have been identified as compliant with Chapter 1.5, Article 5, Title 19 of the California Code of Regulations. This accreditation complements Intertek’s recognition by OSHA as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) and accreditation by the Standards Council of Canada as a Certification Body.
