Using the Mark to judge a product.
The Quality & Performance Mark™ is made up of five tests which test specific attributes of quality and performance and a sixth test to judge claims that are unique to an individual product. To be considered for the Mark a manufacturer must have their product tested and validated for at least one of the five attributes. However they have the option of submitting their product for testing in all six areas. The process is exacting since a product must pass the tests as well as place in the top thirty percent of its respective product category. There are two ways to find out if the Quality & Performance Mark has been awarded to a product and, if so, which product attributes have been Mark validated — one, by looking at the label and two, by looking up a product in our online product registry.
