The expertise of Intertek's certifying engineers is so highly regarded that we are often called up by enforcement agencies to independently check the validity of product safety claims. Certification from Intertek can be used as compelling evidence to support your declaration of conformity, and it shows that a product meets all aspects of appropriate Standards.
As independent third party safety certification is not mandatory for products in Europe, investing in it illustrates the extra efforts you made to ensure that your products are safe. Recognized across the UK and Europe, the BEAB Approved Mark demonstrates the safety pedigree of your products.
As well as being recognised by many port inspectors and trading authorities as an independent evaluation of product safety, BEAB Approval can be used as a basis for obtaining other national and international certification marks under the CB and ENEC schemes. It is also widely used to support declaration of conformity and technical file activity required when CE Marking for the EU. It’s like it was created with your market access needs in mind.

We also offer the ‘BEAB Controls’ mark scheme. This scheme enables manufacturers who supply switch assemblies and controls to appliance manufacturers to demonstrate the reliability and safety of their products. The scheme Standards included are ‘thermal controls’ EN 60730-1, ‘thermal links’ EN 60691 and ‘switches’ EN 61058-1.
