Transferring the GS Mark From Another Certification Body
GS certificates from other certification bodies can be transferred to Intertek, provided that they meet the following conditions:
>> Intertek is accredited as a certification body for the product >> The standard or standards that the certificate is based on are still valid >> The original certificate has not expired and was not withdrawn >> Test reports are available >> Test laboratory has a GS accreditation or is a Notified Body of EU >> Valid factory inspection reports are available
If one or several of these conditions are not fulfilled, full or partial testing or factory inspection must be conducted.
Test data must be submitted including a circuit diagram, bill of materials, certificates for components, and a review sample. Limited testing might be necessary. Other required items include:
>> ITS-0001 (Application Form) with the documentation listed above, plus a copy of the German manual >> ITS-0002 (General Business Conditions of Intertek) provided to client >> ITS-0005 (Certificate Form Sheet, GS mark and S Mark)
The expiration date of the new certificate will be the same as the original certificate.
